I remember buying the tickets back then in November was a bit stressful. I took my laptop to the office to eagerly book the best possible tickets – standing in front of the stage.
Although, with the massive heatwave in Central Europe during the past weeks, I honestly hesitated if these were really the best tickets.
On Friday, 3rd of July 2026, we met withTomas and Lenka around the Glasshouse, Viertel Zwei restaurant at about 17:30. We decided to go for a burger at Burger’s Bar, and then moved to the stadium.
Luckily, that Friday was not so hot anymore and by the time we entered our place inside the stadium, the sun was already tending to hide by the western part of the tribune.
The concert started shortly at about 20:00 and took an extensive 3 hours!!!
It was a huge musical power, which we are used to, with a slightly different, more colossal atmosphere given by the nature of the venue.
Some 55,000 fans attended the gig. Although the front of stage was quite crowded, we still enjoyed all the well‑known songs as well as some surprises (e.g. the covers of the members’ original bands).
For me personally, it definitely was “The Teacher”, which came on just after the break in the “last song” addition, to influence my feelings the most.
As the last song of the show, Foo Fighters played “Everlong”, my favourite one.
After the concert I wanted to buy a poster, but as the fan shop was fully occupied with a lot of guys queuing for some merchandise, my chances were very weak.
From the distance I saw the last 50 EUR poster hanging on the wall being sold. That was a signal to move on and take our friends back home.
