Out of the sudden there was this news that Gorillaz are coming to north Italy to Trieste. And Trieste is a very popular and kind of famous town very close to Graz, which we haven’t seen yet. So altogether this was a very nice setup, which we did not want to miss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As there were no other tickets than the Gold PIT ones left, I simply bought 2 of them, without knowing what exactly we can expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the accommodation it was a bit harder as the town was fully booked for the weekend of 25th of July. But on the other hand it was then again easy as we picked up the nearest hotel still available. It was a hotel in that village with the funny name Pesek.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hotel was actually a great choice. It was quiet, had a restaurant plus separate pizzeria and comfortable rooms for a very reasonable price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Honestly the breakfast on Saturday morning was a bit of a surprise (literally few pieces of croissants, several slices of cheese and some yoghurts) but the coffee was always good. We spent the whole day on supposedly the best beach option \u2013 Sistiana Bay beach. Moving here and there a couple of times. Then we got ready for the concert. Parked according to the instructions, outside of the center. Jumped on the shuttle bus and in few moments we connected to the masses still approaching the Piazza Unit\u00e0 d\u2019Italia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There we quickly realized what the Gold PIT ticket means and how powerful it is. We skipped all the long queues and were allowed to enter the front\u2011of\u2011stage area directly. That was also far from being crowded so we could enjoy the concert perfectly from a very close distance. It was a great concert! Gorillaz with full ensemble and all the international members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Sunday, getting a bit improved breakfast, we checked out from the hotel and visited the famous Miramare castle, summer seat of princess Sisi, before heading back to Graz.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
